Wait calmly. I will get you a surprise. (Sheila Hoyer)

Sunday, December 7 event:

9am Unprogrammed in the Gathering Room.

10am All children and youth! Please join us in practicing for the Christmas Play. We will gather at 10am on both December 7 and14. There will be warm drinks and snacks and space for adults to spend time together in the Fellowship Hall. Our Christmas Nativity is December14 at 5:30 pm. We welcome any and all possible creatures or people that MIGHT have been at the birth of Jesus. We have plenty of costumes to go around or wear your own!

11am Sheila Hoyer offers the morning message, “Wait calmly. I will get you a surprise.”

7pm The Longest Night Service also called Blue Christmas is a special service of solace and remembrance for those who find this time of year particularly difficult. There are many who anguish over lost or broken relationships, or the prospect of spending the holidays without a special loved one. Others are facing lingering illness or isolation, or are struggling with unemployment and lack of financial resources. We will gather together to share our hurts with God and to open our hearts to the light God has promised us in Christ. Join us, along with our neighbors from Congregational UCC and The Christian Church – for reflective music, prayer, scripture, readings and song here at First Friends Meetingroom.
