Bar-B-Q Meal October 4th
Please join the Stewardship Committee in kicking off our annual pledge drive, with a traditional Bar-B-Q meal on Sunday, October 4th at the rise of meeting. Vegetarian meals available. We will also be selling whole shoulders – perfect for Holiday Entertaining! $35 / shoulder To pre-order yours please contact Jay Bumm and make check payable to First Friends Meeting noting “Stewardship” on Memo line. Ordering deadline is September 29th. Shoulders will be available for pick-up immediately following the meal/program.
Are you interested in playing in a musical ensemble?
Gray Pugh, a music major from UNCG that has been with us since last year (you might have noticed him singing in the choir!) would like to invite friends to contact him with any interest they may have in starting a musical ensemble. This is open to ALL ages! Please email him if interested.
Canned Food for Greensboro Urban Ministry
We will be collecting Canned Foods (not Macaroni & Cheese) for the Greensboro Urban Ministry on Sunday, October 4. Collection baskets are in the foyer, near the lounge and outside the office.
First Friends Meeting Quaker Men
Every two weeks the men of First Friends Meeting meet for breakfast and fellowship at Tex and Shirley’s in Friendly Shopping Center at 8:00am. We are usually out by 8:45 am. Pecans for sale
Members of USFW are taking orders for pecans at $8 per pound. Delivery will begin in late October when the 2009 crop comes in. Besides being handy for Holiday baking, they make a great gift.

Youth 5 years and up: Begin a 13 Week series On Becoming Friends. Teacher will be Janina Peachey with the High School age assisting in room 108. Child care with Renee for our little ones under the age of 5.
